In examining our Lord Jesus Christ before Herod and Pilate, we can begin to understand why “the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing” to “the Jews a stumbling block” and “the Greeks a foolishness” (I Corinthians 1:18-24). This knowledge is imperative for us to tactfully and in the power of the Spirit preach the gospel.
