Revelation 18:24 (NKJV) And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth.”
Any scenario, where the above passage would even be possible in America, would have seemed fiction, even five years ago, but not anymore. When we consider the draconian rules invoked in the name of health and safety over the last several months and how churches are now being targeted through legal action, we must prayerfully consider the times in which we live.
Should we think the right president will continue to fight for our rights? Remember that those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. The church in Germany, was convinced of Hitler’s benevolence toward them and their faith. It was not until it was too late, Christians discovered Hitler’s hate for Christ and His church.
With that in mind and considering the manifestation of the spirit of end-times Babylon, we must, with great care discern, if niceties of our current president towards people of Christian faith are sincere or simply political expediency. Why? Because he has little or no personal conviction toward Christ, or his need for Christ. Consider, that until his running for president, Christian faith and virtue in his world view was for suckers. Even now, he is willing to overlook the brutality to nations who persecute Christians (even enemy states), if it will make a buck for America and be see as a political win for him. This he does while trumpeting religious freedom in America.
Understand, this is not a political statement, but one for spiritual consideration. I realize, most U.S. presidents of the modern era, if not most of U.S. history, made deals and alliances with those who killed Christians. Russia, China (during and prior to WWII), India, Pakistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt… Oh yeah and Israel (one of the most repressive governments against Christians; although they love tourist dollars). The point is each of those nations have the blood of the saints on their hands, and so does ours, when we work with them.
One of those nations, is specifically inclined toward Babylon in the last days. In Israel’s relationship to the United States and America’s own Masonic roots, we will discover more manifestations for end-times Babylon.
ISRAEL, BABYLON, and AMERICA
Many mistakenly assume that Israel hated Babylon. This is false assertion given the general state of Israel in the Old Testament. Long before the captivity of Israel, she had mixed her faith in YHWH with Babylonian paganism (Jeremiah 7:18, 44:15-19; Ezekiel 8:14). This defilement of faith in the one true God was partly responsible for the Jewish captivity in Babylon.
Why did this occur? Because Israel gave lip service to God and did not obey His command to trust Him alone. Almost every leader made alliances with pagan nations which would eventually return to haunt the chosen people. They even were also soft towards Babylon governmentally, prior to the captivity.
Regard King Hezekiah, who, after being healed by YHWH from a life-threatening disease, boastfully opened his treasury to Babylon envoys. The prophet Isaiah later rebuked the king and prophesied that Babylon would take all Judah’s wealth and make the kings descendants eunuchs. Though it would take over 100 years, it came to pass under Nebuchadnezzar.
Israel certainly did not like traveling hundreds of miles to live in captivity, but they learned to adapt and prospered there, because of God’s grace. The synagogue system took shape in their captive nation. The Jews grew to like Babylon so much, that when the call to return to the land came through, only around 50,000 returned to Israel (although millions lived in Babylon).
How does this relate to America? Remember, Babylon was at one point seen by one of Israel’s best Kings (in Judah) as a friend. Could America has become similar in its relationship to Israel?
Many end-times expositors have concluded that because the United States (or America) is not mentioned by name, that it is not in biblical prophecy. Therefore the United States cannot be Babylon.
This argument from silence holds no legitimacy, when we considering that Rome was not mentioned at all in the Old Testament, by name, in any prophecy. Yet despite that fact, Rome is clearly seen as fulfilling direct prophecy in the Book of Daniel and manifesting spiritual Babylon at the writing of Revelation.
Simply because the United States is not mentioned by name, says nothing of America’s role in manifesting the spirit of Babylon in the last days. As a matter of fact, should we be in the beginning of sorrows, there is no other nation with the economic, military, cultural, and religious reach of the United States. In fact there has never been a nation of such wealth, commerce, and power, EVER.
Without Great Britain and the United States, Israel would never have become a nation again in our lifetime. Without the British Balfour Declaration and the removal the Ottoman Turks from Jerusalem, by the English military at the close of WWI, History would be different. These events wold pressure the countries of the League of Nations and its subsequent incarnation of the United Nations, to search for a way to bring Israel back to sovereignty in their own land.
At midnight on May 14, 1948, the Provisional Government of Israel proclaimed a new State of Israel. On that same date, President Truman on behalf of the United States, recognized the provisional Jewish government as de facto authority of the Jewish state. America’s importance in the United Nations would lead to the body recognizing the Jewish state as well.
Without the U.S. Israel would have fallen during the Yom Kipper War, as America sent weapons and munitions at the most critical juncture. Without the United States, Israel would be overrun today. Many in Christian circles see this as America’s greatest check in the benevolence column, but scripture may not see it the same.
From Ezekiel 15-17 we get a crystal-clear picture of Israel’s sinful state, God’s love for Jerusalem, and how Jewish harlotry with pagan nations and the abominable religions attached to them, mandated God’s judgment upon His chosen nation. In Ezekiel 17 Babylon is specifically referenced after a parable of an eagle which appears to help Israel, but uproots her from moorings to God. The parable must be understood, in context, which begins 3 chapter before and 11 verses after the parable ends.
Let us remember that Babylon, Rome, Nazi Germany, and the United States have used the eagle as a national symbol. All 4 were (are) world dominating powers. all four at times, made overtures to assist the Jews. Babylon, Rome (both the Roman Empire and its predecessor The Holy Roman Empire”), and Germany eventually sought to annihilate the Jewish people. Both Rome (especially the Holy Roman Empire) and Germany appeared to be Christianized, only to turn on followers of the faith once delivered to the saints, when they outlived their usefulness.
In the case of Germany, please consider reading “Hitler’s Cross” by Erwin Lutzer to learn how Christian’s in Germany became obsessed with making their nation rise again to greatness. So much so was this the case, that they were willing to overlook Hitler’s brutality and belligerence, so long as it was consider for the good of the country. Be warned saints of God, we have done this with the current U.S. president.
Concerning the name of the God, the word of God declares “Holy and Reverend is His Name” (Psalm 111:9). We need to be careful, our politics do not lead to reverence of a man, who needs to be rebuked. This occurred in Nazi Germany among clergy and laity alike, when like attack dogs they defended their Führer. It occurs daily for president Trump.
History details that eagle nations clearly do not end well with God’s chosen nation. Has there every been an eagle nation that has been cozier with Israel in history then the U.S.? The answer is no, and it is clear from scripture that end-times Babylon has a special relationship with Israel and is part of negations for the treaty made between Israel and Antichrist. Which makes sense considering how Babylon gets thrown off the beast and destroyed; most likely when Antichrist breaks the seven-year covenant (Revelation 17:15-18).
Let us take a deeper look at the frame work of an agreement, which may be a foundation for the covenant which begins the last seven years on earth as we know it.
For as long as I can remember, U.S. presidents have been attempting to broker a peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians (representative of the hostile Muslim nations). It would take someone who was extremely popular with the nation of Israel, someone who was an expert in negotiating and brash push it through deal making. It would take someone from a nation with great ties to Israel to broker such a deal.
Does such a person exist, attached to such a nation as needs to be involved in such a covenant? The answer is, YES, if we have truly entered the last days. The current president of the United States.
Let us first consider Persian king Cyrus the Great. As leader of the Persian empire, he presided over the fall of Babylon’s government, and ruled that land as part of his empire. Cyrus, was prophesied approximately 120 years prior to his birth, by name, as the leader, who would stewed Israel’s return to the promised land, following their captivity.
Although his empire was Persian, his decree still emanated from Babylon, and therefore the people still saw it as a Babylonian. Israel sees Cyrus to this day as one of their great deliverers, but this great king has nothing on President Trump, concerning our president’s popularity in Israel, in our day.
Since announcing the move of the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem in 2017, and declaring it as Israel’s eternal capital city, President Trump’s popularity has risen in the promised land. Over the last few years, the name of president has been used in memorials all over the nation of Israel. The Israeli Minister of Tourism, Yariv Levin, went so far as to say that the president could be a modern King David.
This is eerie when considering a tweet from Wayne Allyn Root, which President Trump posted into his own feed; because it declared that he (president Trump) was like the “King of Israel” and the “Second coming of God”. Yes, the tweet reveals how Israeli’s idolized, even idolatrized, in some cases the U.S. president. This narrative, also feeds into president Trump’s own self aggrandizing manner of speech.
Many evangelical Christians would be shocked to know the president has referred to himself as the “chosen one” while looking to the heavens. Consider Israel celebrating “Cyrus” with the 70-year Commemorative Temple Coin; of which the proceeds will go to build a third temple. The “Cyrus” of whom they are referring is none other than President Donald Trump. His image, in front of Cyrus is seen in the newly minted coin.
The real tell on America’s manifestation of end-times Babylon may be the recently signed Abraham Accords, brokered by the Trump Administration between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. This “peace accord”, gives Muslims access to Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem , places a hold on Israeli settlements in Gaza and the West Bank, and divided up the holy land and potentially bring Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and other Muslim countries already in relation to Israel, on board. Could this be the beginning of “Jerusalem trampled by the Gentiles” prophesied by Christ and the prophets, preceding the end (Luke 21:24; Revelation 11:2; Psalm 79:1; Isaiah 63:3; Isaiah 63:18; Daniel 8:13; Zechariah 12:3)
I admit, this is not a peace deal with the Palestinians (representing hostiles Shi’ite Muslims nations like Iran), but many scholars believe that this could lead to that arrangement.
What is befuddling to me, is that many American Christians, who believe we are in the last days, have not so much as considered the potential implications of the “Abraham Accords“; in relation to the president or the role of the United States in them. Is it possible the “Abraham Accords” fulfill biblical prophecy or are laying the groundwork for the great covenant, which ushers in the last seven years of the world as we know it?
Assuming the president to be a friend of Christians and Israel, most have considered the implications. This assumption comes with little to no evidence that the president has any love for Christ, His followers or the Jewish people.
I believe people change, if they are found in Christ. But that change is remarkable and supernatural, covering all of life. Regardless of Paula White or Robert Jeffress declaring Donald Trump to be saved, he consistently manifests behavior that is contrary to Christian character and virtue. in fact the way he behaves is more aligned with the apostacy of the antichrist spirit; This should at least cause some prayerful consideration.
Before I am clubbed by those saying “I don’t need a pastor or Sunday school teacher in the White House”, let me say, “I agree”. We don’t need that, for the president is surrounded by sycophantic “Christian” pastors and leaders who are blinded by their own ambition and wrong understanding of scripture. Discernment has become the victim of evangelicals desiring a champion to give them political clout.
Let me be clear: Time will tell whether the president is more than just a president concerning biblical prophecy, but his character and program to this point, in many ways lines with a negative prophetic type, as does the economic, cultural, religious and governmental program of the United States.
Are Christians in America being duped, by a man who needs their support, only to find down the road (when we have outlived our usefulness) that the man we trusted should never have had our trust?
This would not be the first time in American or world history that has occurred. Do we remember president George W. Bush appointing John Roberts to the Supreme Court, to the delight of evangelical Christians nation wide. How we were fooled! Do we forget how Hitler schmoozed and used the church in Germany, because they had bought the lie that He would return Germany to greatness?
We Christians must pray we don’t get fooled again! Of Babylon’s relationship to Israel in the book of Revelation and how America appears on course with Babylon’s character is not difficult to discern.
In my concluding post we will look deeper into the founding of America and its symbolism to consider the manifestation of end-time Babylon, even before the nation was founded.
